Updated RX570 to AMD driver 18.11.1 released 11-8-2018, but still no Ext Fan control setting to use. Updated BIOS from 1410 to 1601 hoping the RX570 needed some help sensing the fan was actually connected, but got same result in Tweak2 - the Ext Fan control setting is just not present. To test the fan itself, removed the fan from the RX570 external fan connector and plugged it into AIO-Pump connector on Rog Strix Z370-I motherboard and it worked. GTX 1650 SUPER GAMING X Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2x8) 3200mhz EVGA 600W. The fan connected to the connector on the RX570 starts spinning when powering on the computer, but stops after several seconds as the computer continues booting. I did not overclock above those written in the specification. Uninstalled 1670 and reverted back to 1650, but still no external fan control settings choice. EVGA really went the distance on this one, ICX cooling, Dual BIOS, 11GB of GDDR5X, RGB, GPU / Memory / PWM Thermal Status Indicator LEDs and backed with an EVGA 3 Year warranty. Then that setting dissappeared after updating from Tweak2 1650 on 11-7-2018 to 1670. The EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 is so beefy and ankle deep in geeky goodness that just holding one in your hand is an amazing feeling. I have the Precision XOC (for Pascal) which is different but I dont load it at Windows start up. Precision X1 is not a new product, however, its predecessor, Precision XOC has been around for some. Nvidia has tuned the 1080 Ti by default to keep fan speeds below about 50 percent, so rather than making more noise the clockspeed will drop until the card reaches equilibrium. I've been using the external fan control settings on an RX570 for many months. EVGA Precision X1 is a smart utility designed to give you more control over your graphics card. EVGA sends out a lot of firmware updates, I have had 3-4 FW updates on the RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra since Nov 2020.
